aiim has declared Oct 27th World Paper Free Day.  This is a chance to better understand why we are still so dependent on paper in our increasingly electronic world.  How do we release ourselves from this addiction?  Why does it not happen?

I'm pleased to share some information from people who are much more knowledgeable about this than me, including John Mancini the President of aiim.

Here is the home page for Paper Free Day.  There are some great resources and ideas of how YOU can participate in celebrating Paper Free Day.

For some great analysis of why paper is still predominant but a warning of why we need to adopt a change, watch this video that is voice annotated by John.  It takes a minute or so to load but is worth the wait...Make sure you watch it to the end...the prediction of why changing your processes is so important is worth viewing the whole video.

Join the action on World Paper Free Day.  Participate in the twitter discussion at #WPFD and add your voice to a call to reduce our dependency on paper.  Let's start to make Burlington a more paper free location.  Get on board with World Paper Free Day...only 7 more days.

What could you do to reduce paper dependency in your office?  How do you start to work differently?  Do you agree this is an urgent need?  Join the discussion below.
