Going paperless (my definition is reducing your dependency on paper, not a totally paper free environment), in your office is a task that should be easy but is something that I have learned most people cannot do. I was dealing with a client the other day and they were trying to decide if they need to add a fax option to their MFP. I asked them when the last time was that they got a fax or sent one? The client said they could not remember when a fax was used. When we discussed it further it was determined that the things they used to do with faxes they now do using scanning capability.

Anti-Idling Bylaws Create New Document Security And Shredding Risk

So what does anti-idling have to do with document security and shredding?
It seems that due to municipal anti-idling laws in Burlington, Hamilton and other jurisdictions the mobile shredding services are being restricted from doing on site shredding. It appears that running their engines for the time it takes to complete shredding projects onsite violates the anti-idling bylaws and they are not permitted to operate in this manner.
