Multifunction (MFP) Scanners From Many Brands

Scanning comes in many forms.  Multifunction scanning is the most popular and accessible form of network scanning.

Network scannning is performed when a document is placed on the device and scanned and sent to either a folder or e-mail location on a network.  It is commonly called push type scanning.

Leppert integrates mfp scanning from three primary manufacturers, Kyocera, Samsung and Ricoh and has worked with scanning from many other brands of mfp devices.  Not everyone is familiar with the issues that mfp scanning can create and many purchasers never get their scan enabled device feeding their systems well.

Network scanning offers many advantages:

  • Readily available with limited training for users

  • Fast speed (depends upon size of device)

  • Low hardware cost as it is part of the overall package

  • Choices of output types

  • Push technology facilitates transfer

  • Low maintenance costs
