Kyocera recently announced the launch of their new Mobile Print App for Android and Apple tablets and I thought it would be interesting to see how easily it worked.
I loaded the app from the Android store onto my Asus Transformer TF300 tablet. It is a free download and was simple to setup. Once the app is loaded it will search out compatible Kyocera print devices which are located on your network. Of course you must have the tablet or phone connected to the network which is easily done using the wireless connection on my Asus tablet.
Here's how the app looks and works:[Video]
That's how easy it is. I can see that this will be an app I will use regularly, most likely more for scanning than printing, although the ability to print without having to send the file by e-mail or offload it to a usb key will be a convenience for sure.
Way to go Kyocera...a great app with lots of useful features.
What apps have you found that make working with tablet or smartphones in your office environment more convenient? What would you like to have if it could be available?
