Sometimes I find that clients and potential clients don't always appreciate how critical document flows are to their businesses. Often printing documents and handling of electronic documents just become part of the background noise in busy offices.

Colour printers and mfp devices are much more common in offices. I find that we are placing as many colour capable devices as mono only especially in offices with only one print device. The reasons are fairly obvious since we live in a colour world and most companies need to be able to produce at least some of their output with colour features.

There are three common ways that companies acquire print devices like copiers and mfps. You can simply purchase what you need. This seems the simplest but for equipment worth more than about $2000 it is not the most common. Second, you can lease the device for a fixed term lease. This is the most common way that office print equipment is acquired. In our practice at least 85 percent of the equipment is placed on a lease for clients.

Kodak Imaging Business Gets New Name | Kodak Alaris

Part of the saga of Kodak's bankruptcy protection has come to an end as the Kodak Personal Imaging Business and Document Imaging Business is given a new name by the new owner the UK Kodak Pension Plan. Kodak Alaris will be the new name, maintaining the Kodak identity but showing that this is a new entity.

Recently our company decided to refresh our mobile phones. We needed a smart phone that would work well with both our field based Technical and Sales teams. We were an existing Blackberry account so after careful review we decided familiarity for users and a patriotic sense of 'Oh Canada' would lead us to adopt the new Blackberry Z10 series phones.
